CKHA Services Altered for Labour Day Holiday Monday, September 7, 2009

CHATHAM – KENT, September 7, 2009 -- Some health care services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (Chatham & Wallaceburg campuses) will be altered on Monday, September 7, 2009, Labour Day Holiday.

Routine X-rays, EKG, and ultrasounds will not be available on Monday, September 7, 2009. These departments will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies. Out-Patient Rehabilitation Services, Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program, Pre-Admit Clinic, Health Education Department, Respiratory Health Centre, and Pulmonary Function Lab will be closed. The Patient Appointment Office, though closed, can still receive electronic requests for appointments through the Patient Appointment Request Service (PARS) available on the community portal – www.chatham-kent.ca/pars.

Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2009.

Hemodialysis Care will be open on September 7, 2009.

The Oncology Department will be closed on September 7, 2009.

The Emergency Departments at the Grand Avenue, Chatham, and Sydenham Campuses are open 24 hours daily.
