CKHA Recognizes Service to Hospitals

CHATHAM-KENT -- More than two hundred and fifty long-service employees, volunteers, physicians and retirees will be honoured at this year's Recognition Banquet hosted by Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Dr. George Walker, Family Medicine, will be recognized for 50 years of service and Mike Bandoni, Tim Bisschop, Pauline Chordash, Linda Giroux and Charlene Weber, will be recognized for 40 years of service.  Twenty-five employees will receive 35-year recognition:  Elizabeth Aitken, Jeanne Belanger, Lynn Benoit, Linda Jean Brown, Mary Caporale, Lorrine Clark, Petronella Denys, Lynnette Elliott, Rosalia Furo, Alis Gillett, Janice Gurd, Ruthann Howard, Sharon Jackson, Jacqueline Lachine, Catherine Anne Landry, Janice McCready, Linda McKinlay, Donna Parry, Catherine Pollock, Lynn Reissner, Nola Denise Roberts, Judy Anne Smith, Marcia Strachan, Stephanie Vandecaveye and Linda Youngs.

Guests of honour also include 47 five, 39 ten, 23 fifteen, 48 twenty, 32 twenty-five and 34 thirty year award recipients.

In addition, the Alliance will pay tribute to twenty-one retirees:

 “This annual event is an opportunity for Chatham-Kent Health Alliance to congratulate local healthcare professionals for their endless efforts to support those they serve,” said Human Resources Manager, Debbie Ancocik.

“We are proud and appreciative of their commitment to be Caring People, Caring for People.  This year’s event includes a special celebration of CKHA being named for the 2nd consecutive year one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, 2010 – a tribute to our organization and staff, physicians and volunteers for all they do,” she added.

 The Annual Tri-Board Awards for Excellence and the first Annual President’s Award for Excellence will also be presented during the event. These performance-based awards recognize those who show exceedingly high achievements far beyond their expected assigned duties. *

The annual recognition event will be held on Friday, November 20th at Club Lentinas in Chatham.

A photo opportunity of the longest serving recipients is available at 5:45 pm at Club Lentinas.
