CKHA Services Altered over Holiday Season

CHATHAM – KENT -- Some health care services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (Chatham & Wallaceburg campuses) will be altered over the holiday season.

Routine X-rays, EKG, and ultrasounds will not be available on December 25 and 28, 2009 and January 01, 2010. These departments will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies.

Out-Patient Rehabilitation Services, Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program, Health Education Department will be closed on December 25 and December 28, 2009 and January 01, 2010.

The Pre-Admit Clinic will be closed December 24, 25, 28, 2009, as well as January 1, 2010.

The Patient Appointment Office will be closed December 25 and 28, 2009 and January 01, 2010, although will continue to receive electronic requests for appointments through the Patient Appointment Request Service (PARS) available on the community portal – www.chatham-kent.ca/pars.

Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be closing at 1 pm on December 24 and will be closed on December 25, 2009 and January 01, 2010.

Respiratory Health Care will be closed from December 23, 2009 through to and including January 3, 2010, reopening on January 4, 2010.

The Pulmonary Function Lab will be closed on December 24 through to and including December 28, 2009, and again on December 30, 2009 through to and including January 3, 2010. The Pulmonary Function Lab will be open on December 29, 2009 to accommodate patients.

Hemodialysis Care will be closed on December 25, 2009 and January 01, 2010. Hemodialysis Care will be open on Boxing Day, Saturday, December 26, as well as Sunday, December 27 and Sunday, January 03, 2010 to accommodate dialysis patients.

The Oncology Department will be closed on December 25 and December 28, 2009 and January 01, 2010.

The Emergency Departments at the Grand Avenue, Chatham, and Sydenham Campuses are open 24 hours daily.
