In Chatham-Kent telephone 911 for Ambulance service. CKHA offers 24-hour Emergency Departments at hospital campuses in Wallaceburg and Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has two campuses:

I don’t have a doctor. What do I do?

In a medical emergency, go to the nearest Emergency Department.

In non-emergency situations, go to one of Chatham-Kent’s walk-in Clinics:

When can I visit?

Hospital visiting policies support the health and wellness of our patients. Most units encourage visiting between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. If your situation requires different consideration, please discuss needs with nursing staff.

Where do I park?

There are public parking lots at our hospitals in Wallaceburg and Chatham in front, and behind, our buildings. Some require payment upon entrance, while others require payment upon exit. Small denomination cash and coins only, no credit or debit. There is also limited on-street, metered parking nearby.

How do I make an appointment?

With a physician referral form, patients can pre-schedule hospital appointments through CKHA’s Patient Appointment Office (PAO) which is open weekdays during normal business hours. Call 519.437.6012 or toll free at 1.877.726.2542. Or, use the internet-based Patient Appointment Request Service at www.chatham-kent.ca/pars

Do you have a Pharmacy on-site?

Yes, Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham campus, is open weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Pharmacy offers full prescription service, free delivery, medication review, glucometer training, blood pressure monitor training, and pharmacist home visits. Parking tokens are available at no charge, to prescription clients.

Do you have a Gift Shop?

Yes, our hospitals in Wallaceburg and Chatham both offer Gift shops. They offer floral arrangements, body care products, jewelry, home accessories, clothing and more. If you are from out-of-town and wish to have something delivered to a patient at the hospital, you may call them to place an order with a credit card payment. Volunteers can usually deliver same day.

Do you have a Cafeteria?

Yes. At the Chatham campus, Café Grand is open weekdays for breakfast, lunch and dinner. At the Wallaceburg campus, the cafeteria offers 24-hour vending service, stocked fresh daily.

How do I contact a patient in your hospital?

Call 519.352.6400, followed by the patient’s telephone extension. If you do not know their extension, at the prompt of the automated attendant, press the number zero to speak to an operator who can assist you.

Can I order television service for a hospitalized patient?

In-room television rental service is offered by Hospitality Network. To make arrangements for rentals and payments call 1-800-387-8223 weekdays during normal business hours.

Is there a designated smoking area at the hospital?

No, for the health and safety of our patients and staff, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is a smoke-free facility, including its properties and parking lots. If you are a patient, please speak with your caregiver.
