Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Services Altered over Holiday Season 2015

CHATHAM-KENT: December 16, 2015 -- Some healthcare services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (Chatham & Wallaceburg campuses) will be altered over the holiday season.

Routine X-rays, EKG, and ultrasounds will not be available on December 25 and 28, 2015 and January 1, 2016 and will reopen on January 4. These departments will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies. Ultrasound will be on-call on December 25, 2015 and January 1, 2016.

Out-Patient Rehabilitation Services at the Chatham and Sydenham Campus, the Diabetes Education Centre and the TIA and CAD clinics will be closed on December 25 and 28, 2015 and January 1, 2016. At the Sydenham Campus, the Diabetes Education Centre will be closed from December 25, 2015 through to January 1, 2016 and will reopen on January 4.

Pulmonary Function Lab, Chatham Campus, will be closed December 21, 2015 through to December 25 and December 28, 2015 through to January 1, 2016 and will reopen on January 4. 

Pulmonary Function Lab, Sydenham Campus, will be closed December 24 and 25, 2015 and December 31, 2015 to January 1, 2016 and will reopen on January 6.

The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program, Health Education Department will be closed on December 25 and 28, 2015 and January 1, 2016.

Out-Patient Lab Services will be closed from 12 noon on December 24, 2015 through to January 1, 2016. Out-Patient Lab Services will reopen on January 4, 2016 at 8 a.m.

The Pre-Surgical Screening Department will be closed December 24, 2015 through to December 28 and December 31, 2015 to January 1, 2016 and will reopen on January 4.

The Patient Appointment Office and the Health Records Department will be closed December 25 and 28, 2015 and January 1, 2016.

Elston Pharmacy, located at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, will be closed at 2 p.m. starting on December 24, 2015 and will reopen December 29 to December 31 from 9 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Pharmacy will be closed January 1, 2016 and back to regular business hours on January 4.

Chatham Campus Ambulatory Care Department will be closed December 24, 25 and 28, 2015 and December 31, 2015 to January 2, 2016 and will reopen on January 4. Ambulatory Care at Chatham Campus will be open on December 29 and 30, 2015 to accommodate patients.

Sydenham Campus Ambulatory Care Department will be open on December 22, from 0800 - 1200 hours and December 29, from 0800 - 1200 hours. It will be closed on December 24, 2015 and December 31, 2015 reopening on January 5, 2016.

The Oncology Department will be closed on December 25 and 28, 2015 and again on January 1, 2016.

The Business Office and Cashier Office will be closed on December 24, 2015 through to and including December 28, 2015. The Cashier's Office and limited business services will be available on December 29, 2015 through to December 31, 2015. These offices will be closed on January 1, 2016 and will reopen on January 4. Please note there are two bill changers in the building to accommodate change for parking.

Hemodialysis Care will be closed December 25, 2015 and January 1, 2016, and open on December 27, 2015 and January 3, 2016 to accommodate patient needs.

The Emergency Departments at the Grand Avenue, Chatham, and Sydenham Campuses are open 24 hours daily.
