Lori Marshall

As President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Lori brings to the organization over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Ontario’s acute and community care sectors, and a reputation as a patient-centred strategist with a track record of addressing complex issues through a shared vision and knowledge of the community and region. This is Lori’s third appointment as CEO, the first being in 2005 for Nipigon District Memorial Hospital and in 2014 for the Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre. She has served as Vice President at two hospitals including Oshawa General Hospital and Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, where she held the positions of VP Patient Care before being promoted to Executive Vice President, Strategy, Performance and Aboriginal Health.

Lori is a Registered Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists and a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders. She holds a Health Leadership Certificate from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa. Lori has a rich history of community service and has been active on many boards and committees at the provincial and local levels.

As Vice President, Chief Nursing Executive & Chief Professional Practice, Lisa is responsible for Emergency Services, Intensive & Progressive Care, Medicine, Rehabilitation, Complex Continuing Care, Surgery, Women & Children’s, Mission, Quality, Inter-professional Practice and Infection Prevention & Control. Lisa brings to this position a solid knowledge of CKHA having worked here for 29 years, a successful track record of working in partnership and teamwork with physicians and other professional staff and, above all, a deep and profound commitment to staff and the provision of multi-disciplinary quality care.

Lisa is a Registered Nurse with a Master's degree in Nursing and has held numerous positions in the organization including staff nurse, professional practice leader, nursing unit manager, and most recently Director of Quality, Effectiveness and Inter-professional Practice. Lisa is passionate about building a workplace culture that promotes engagement and a true partnership between staff and physicians that fosters a shared ownership for the organization’s success.

Zoja Holman

As Interim VP, Zoja is overseeing a range of operational priorities and programs including Diagnostic & Therapeutics (DI, Pharmacy & Lab), Decision Support & Project Portfolio Management, Facilities & Support Services, Finance & Registration, Health Records, Information Services, Privacy, and Strategic Planning.

Through a commitment to effective collaboration and relationships with others, Zoja actively works to strengthen the organization across dimensions of governance, culture and performance management. Zoja has been with CKHA for more than eight years and previously held the position of Director, Chief Strategy and Privacy Officer, Director of Corporate Transformation and Director of Communications & Organizational Development. Prior to joining the hospital, she worked for several healthcare organizations across the region at both the system and community levels.

Zoja holds a Bachelor of Arts from Acadia University, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College and a Masters in Public Administration from Western University. She is a graduate of the Advanced Health Leadership Program, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.

Dr. Pervez Faruqi

As Chief of Staff, Dr. Faruqi’s top priorities are to improve the quality of medical care and patient experience at CKHA. He brings to the role significant leadership and professional experience and a strong desire to support quality of care, improved patient experiences and work with administration to strengthen the organization.

Dr. Faruqi has been a consultant Paediatrician at CKHA since 2010 and has held the role of Chief of Paediatrics since 2013. Prior to that he practiced medicine in Nova Scotia for five years at the Guysborough, Antigonish and Strait Health Authority (GASHA), where he chaired the Quality Review Committee. Before moving to Canada, Dr. Faruqi practiced medicine in the United States for seven years where, in addition to several recognitions for teaching, he won America’s Top Pediatrician, 2004-2005.

Since 2010, Dr. Faruqi has also been an Adjunct Professor of Paediatrics at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. Fannie Vavoulis

In her role as Director, Chief Communications & Community Engagement Officer, Fannie is responsible for planning, implementing and facilitating internal and external communications and community relations strategies that support CKHA’s Mission, Vision, Values and strategic priorities.  Fannie previously spent six years in the Medical Affairs Department at CKHA where she held the role of Medical Recruiter and Education Coordinator.

Fannie holds a BA in Political Science from Western University and a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Fanshawe College. She is truly passionate about living and working in Chatham-Kent and is actively involved in many community organizations and initiatives.  She is one of the founding members of TEDx Talks Chatham-Kent, a Chatham-Kent Public Library Board Member, past President of the Rotary Club of Chatham and past Chair of Culture Factory.

As Senior Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, Chief of Staff and Governance Coordinator for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Board of Directors, Annette is highly qualified having over 28 years of healthcare and governance experience.  Previously she held the position of Executive Assistant, Corporate Coordinator to the CEO including providing support for the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors at the Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre (CCAC), a position she held from 2002-2017.  Her administrative leadership is instrumental in achieving the Mission, Vision and Values of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in support of best governance practice for the Board of Directors, Board Committees and Senior Leadership Team.
