New Medical Leadership Announced at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Welcomes Neurologist to Chatham-Kent

CHATHAM-KENT: February 3, 2017 -- Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Awad Mortada to Chatham-Kent. Dr. Mortada is a Neurologist who has recently relocated with his wife and three children to Chatham-Kent. Dr. Mortada will be providing general outpatient neurology clinics from his office that provide comprehensive, individualized assessment and care for a full range of neurological conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Hospital Supervisor Recognized for Mentorship in Healthcare Management

CHATHAM-KENT: January 24, 2017 -- Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s (CKHA) Hospital Supervisor, Rob Devitt, was recently recognized for his long-standing dedication to mentorship in the field of healthcare management. Mr. Devitt was chosen as this year’s recipient of the Masters of Health Administration Alumni Association (MHAAA) Preceptors Award from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.

CHATHAM-KENT: October 31, 2016 -- Cancer Care Ontario’s Cancer Performance Steering Committee has recognized Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) for meeting its provincial annual improvement targets for the performance indicators Surgical Oncology – Referral to Consult and Pathology Post-Surgical Report Turnaround Time for All Disease Sites for the 2015/16 fiscal year. CKHA also achieved the most improved hospital in Ontario for the indicator Surgical Oncology Program: Decision to Treat to Treatment.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Welcomes Critical Care Specialist

CHATHAM-KENT – August 5, 2016:  Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Jonathan Marhong who will join the Internal Medicine team as a Critical Care Specialist.
Dr. Marhong was born in Toronto, Ontario and received his Doctorate of Medicine from McMaster University in Hamilton.
