Chatham-Kent Health Alliance hosting Nursing Job Fair at John D Bradley Convention Centre

CHATHAM-KENT: February 18, 2016 -- Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is hosting a Nursing Job Fair on Wednesday, February 24 from 1 pm to 5 pm at the John D Bradley Convention Centre, located at 565 Richmond Street. Nurses from across Southwestern Ontario are invited to visit CKHA to meet representatives of the clinical management team and talk to staff nurses, view displays, and enter prize draws.

CHATHAM-KENT: February 9, 2016 -- Some healthcare services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (Chatham & Wallaceburg campuses) will be altered on Monday, February 15, 2016 in recognition of the Family Day holiday.

Routine X-rays, EKG, and ultrasounds will not be available on Monday, February 15, 2016. These departments will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies.

CHATHAM – KENT: December 17, 2015 – Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is encouraging the community to Give the Gift of Life this holiday season through registration of organ and tissue donation. Organ and tissue donation still remains a critical need province-wide. While the number of registered donors in Ontario has increased to 28 per cent, as of September 2015 there were still 1,662 Ontarians on the waiting list for a life-saving transplant.

CHATHAM-KENT: Wednesday, October 21, 2015 – Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is fully implementing an innovative solution to increase access to mental health services across geographical boundaries. CKHA’s Mental Health and Addictions Program (MHAP) delivers traditional, face-to-face, clinic-based therapy. For some individuals living in the vast geographical region of Chatham-Kent, this can create a barrier to accessing care or services.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Welcomes Two New Specialist Physicians

CHATHAM-KENT: September 22, 2015  -- Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) welcomes two new specialist physicians to the community - Drs. George Jacob and Jason Back.

Dr. George Jacob is the newest Obstetrician/Gynaecologist (OB/GYN) physician to join the hospital. He recently graduated from Western University from the residency program as well as completing medical school there.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Invests in Heart Health with $100,000 in New ECG

CHATHAM-KENT: August 5, 2015 -- Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) invests $100,000 in state-of-the-art electrocardiogram equipment (ECG). This investment allows CKHA to improve their patient diagnostic system within the hospital and to be positioned to fully integrate ECG systems with the new hospital information systems, expected to be in place in the coming years.
