Chatham Hosts Second Ontario Stroke Survivor Congress

CHATHAM-KENT: October 28, 2016 -- Today, attendees of Ontario’s second Stroke Survivor Congress, received the gifts of inspiration, insight and information to improve the journey for current and future stroke survivors.  Powerful topics for stroke survivors, accentuated by an incredible caliber of talented international, provincial and local speakers who were willing to share their expertise, were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of over 130 people. By all accounts the day was a resounding success.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Secondary Stroke Prevention Clinic Enhances Access to Quality Care for High Risk Stroke Patients

CHATHAM-KENT: June 22, 2016 -- Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s (CKHA) Secondary Stroke Prevention Clinic is enhancing timely access to care for persons at high risk for stroke across the community. Persons who have signs and symptoms of a recent stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), also commonly referred to as a “mini-stroke” are provided with rapid access to Internal Medicine expertise through an expedited referral from the Emergency Department or their Family Physician.

Chatham-Kent: June 12, 2015 -- Today, attendees of Ontario's first Stroke Survivor Congress, received the gifts of inspiration, insight and information to improve the journey for current and future stroke survivors. Powerful topics for stroke survivors, accentuated by an incredible caliber of talented international, provincial and local speakers who were willing to share their expertise, were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of over 150 people. By all accounts the day was a resounding success.
