2007 National Accreditation Honours from the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation.  Earning 3-year accreditation requires meeting or exceeding CCHSA standards of quality, safety and performance.

2007 Human Touch Award from Cancer Care Ontario.  This honour recognizes excellence in the provision of cancer care.

2007 Top Performer Award for Best Practice Overall from ORBC in recognition of commitment to performance excellence in Operating Room management. 

2006 Provincial 5-year Laboratory Accreditation Award from the Ontario Laboratory Association.  This highest Accreditation award is evidence that our Laboratory services and programs meet all 512 quality expectations defined by OLA who set the desired standards of best practice and benchmarks for laboratory quality and competency.

2006 Excellence in Municipal Systems Award from the Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA).   This award was earned in partnership with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent for CKHA’s Patient Appointment Request Service (PARS) which resides on the municipal portal.

2006 Provincial Pollution Prevention Award from the Ontario Hospital Association and the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care.  This award honours the work of the Alliance’s Green Team for its efforts to reduce landfill contributions, e-cycle, re-cycle and conserve energy.

2006 Best Practice Spotlight Organization, by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario.  CKHA is one of 12 hospitals in Ontario selected to implement and evaluate nursing Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs). RNAO’s BPGs are clinical and educational resources providing specific evidence-based strategies for nurses and other health-care providers to offer the best quality of patient care.

2005 National Gold Safety Recognition Award from Becton, Dickinson and Company. The Alliance was the first Southwestern Ontario Hospital to ever earn this highest gold standard. The award honors hospitals that are committed to providing a safer work environment to staff and patients through the use of safety-engineered devices and programs.

2005 National Silver Award of Excellence at the Canadian Information Productivity Awards.  This award was earned in partnership with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. It recognizes achievement in transforming organizational business process and improvements by implementing innovative on-line services (Patient Appointment Request Service).

2005 National Gold Award from the Canadian Government Review (citizen-centric, inter-jurisdictional category) in recognition of the Patient Appointment Request Service on the Municipal Portal developed in partnership with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

2005 Provincial Communicator of the Year Award from the Ontario Hospital Association,  in recognition of Kim Bossy’s local and provincial communication, leadership and advocacy efforts.

2004 National Bronze Safety Recognition Award from Becton, Dickinson and Company.  This award honours the Alliance for reducing sharps-related injuries through the use of safety-engineered products.

2004 National Accreditation Honours from the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation.  Earning 3-year accreditation requires meeting or exceeding CCHSA standards of quality, safety and performance.

2004 National Award Magazine featured Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Grand Ave. campus.  This national magazine of architectural construction and interior design recognized the architectural attributes of the campus in an approach that supports the human experience and connection to the community it serves.

2003 Employer Award of Excellence from the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (RPNAO).  The award demonstrates outstanding achievement in providing the utilization of RPNs in innovative and creative ways and creating a multidisciplinary team environment for healthcare workers.

2001 National Best Practices Award from Hewlett Packard for CKHA’s Clinical Systems.
