Health Information Management (HIM) ensures a seamless visit for patients from booking to arrival and registration, to ensuring their medical record is complete and available for continuing care. The Health Information department oversees the management, collection, storage, retention and access of all personal health information for each patient and their health record. The Department respects and maintains the confidentiality, privacy and security of personal health information (PHI).

The team works collaboratively to register patients for their visits, process records, handle inquiries, code and submit data to Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) for statistical and funding purposes. The department processes requests for access, facilitate corrections and releases information in accordance with applicable legislation. The team analyzes your Personal Health Information record to maintains the highest degree of quality and standards to facilitate continuance of care.
