When can I visit my family member?
The ICU/PCU strives to provide Patient and Family Centred Care. Visiting hours are not regulated, however, there may be times when family members may be asked to step out, during emergencies, procedures or personal care.
If I want to, can I spend the night?
We recognize that having a family member stay overnight can bring comfort and support during critical moments of patient care. Our dedicated staff and unit leaders will assess these situations carefully to ensure that your loved one receives the best possible care, while integrating family needs. Please note that the lounge is available 24/7 and is equipped with pull-out chairs and a couch for your comfort while navigating this difficult journey.
How do I get information about my family member?
Where do most patients go when they are no longer sick enough to be in ICU?
Can food be brought in and can I use my cell phone while in ICU/PCU?
