Oncology & Cancer Clinic

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s (CKHA) Cancer Clinic is a Level 4 satellite outpatient referral centre. The clinic is aligned with the Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program (ESC RCP) and the London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP) serving residents of Chatham-Kent. CKHA’s Cancer Clinic aims to provide timely and safe access to high quality cancer treatment to residents who wish to receive chemotherapy closer to home.

The Care Team

CKHA’s Cancer Clinic consists of nurses who are all members in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and are certified in Biotherapy and Chemotherapy members of the Canadian Vascular Access Association. These nurses are de Souza Institute certified, assuring their knowledge and skills meet the provincial high-quality evidence based standards of specialized oncology.

What to Expect

Patients can expect individualized care located on Level 1, Zone A at the very end of the main corridor. Both patients and their families are welcome to attend treatment. The clinic’s nurses are in communication with the patient’s medical oncologist at either regional cancer centre in order to ensure patient specific cancer treatments are administered in a timely and professional manner within their home community of Chatham-Kent. The general practitioners in oncology (GPOs) are integral to our on-site cancer clinic, providing essential care that complements the specialized treatments offered by the regional oncology team.
