The Process
CKHA is always working to improve its understanding of the local community and the people who access the hospital’s services. CKHA believes that the more it engages the populations it serves, the better the quality of health care that it can deliver to the people of Chatham and Rural Kent. That is why CKHA worked hard to identify and engage the diverse populations it serves and the organizations it partners with through an inclusive planning process.
CKHA’s 2021-2024 Strategic Plan was developed through virtual consultations and engagement sessions with various groups and individuals. These engagement sessions allowed the organization’s internal and external stakeholders to share their ideas about CKHA’s strengths and opportunities, as well as desired programs and services. CKHA would like to thank all the participants for their hard work and dedication in helping the organization cultivate wellness together to achieve its Vision of “Together, Growing a Healthier Community.”

These Patient Exemplars were used to guide the development of CKHA’s Strategic Plan.
