Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Services Altered over the Holiday Season
CHATHAM-KENT: December 15, 2022 — Some health care services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be altered over the holiday season.
Please note: In lieu of Christmas Day on Sunday, December 25, 2022, and Boxing Day on Monday, December 26, 2022, services will be altered on Monday, December 26, 2022 and Tuesday, December 27, 2022. In lieu of New Year’s Day on Sunday, January 1, 2023, services will be altered on Monday, January 2, 2022.
Throughout the holidays, outpatient diagnostic tests will take place. Patients with scheduled diagnostic tests are advised to attend their appointments. These departments will also be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will not be available from December 25, 2022 to January 2, 2023 and will resume services on January 3, 2023. This department will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients. The Musculskeletal Rapid Assessment Clinic at the Chatham Site will be closed December 25, 2022 to January 2, 2023 and will resume services on January 3, 2023.
The TIA and CAD clinics will be closed on December 26 and 27, 2022 and January 2, 2023.
The Diabetes Education Centre will have limited hours on December 23, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be closed on December 26 and 27, 2022 and January 2, 2023.
Pulmonary Function Lab, Chatham and Wallaceburg sites, will be closed from December 25, 2022 up to and including January 2, 2023.
The Chatham-Kent Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Program will be closed on December 26 and December 27, 2022 and January 2, 2023. Please note on December 23 and 30, 2022 the office will close at 4 p.m. The Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine (RAAM) clinic, which operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, will be closed on Monday, December 26, and open on Wednesday, December 28 and Friday December 30. The RAAM will close again on Monday, January 2, 2022 and resume regular operations on Wednesday, January 4, 2022. The RAAM Clinic located at the Wallaceburg Site, which operates every Tuesday, will be closed on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Outpatient Lab Services will be closed on December 26 and 27, 2022. The Lab will close again on January 2, 2023 and will reopen on January 3, 2023.
The Pre-Surgical Screening Department will be closed from December 24, 2022 through to and including December 27, 2022 and will reopen on December 28, 29, and 30, 2022 and close again on December 31, 2022 and January 2, 2023. The department will resume regular operations on January 3, 2023.
The Patient Appointment Office will be closed December 26 and 27, 2022 and January 2, 2023.
Health Records will be closed on December 26 and 27, 2022 and January 2, 2023.
Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham Site, will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022 and will be closed on December 26 and 27, 2022. The Pharmacy will be open on Wednesday, December 28 through to and including Friday, December 30 with hours of 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Pharmacy will close again on Monday, January 2, 2023 and return to regular business hours on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
The Ambulatory Care Department at both Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be closed December 26 and December 27, 2022 and January 2, 2023.
The Oncology Department will be closed on December 26 and December 27, 2022 and January 2, 2023.
The Business Office and Cashier’s Office will be closed on December 26 and 27, 2022 as well as January 2, 2023. Please note there are two bill changers in the building to accommodate change for coin.
Hemodialysis Care will be closed on December 25, 2022 and January 1, 2023. The department will be open on Monday, December 26, 2022 and Monday, January 2, 2023 to accommodate patient needs.
The Chatham-Kent COVID, Cold, and Flu Care Clinic located at 10 Grand Avenue, Chatham, will be closed on December 25, 2022 and reopen on December 26th. The Chatham-Kent COVID, Cold, and Flu Care Clinic will close again on January 1, 2023 and reopen on January 2, 2023.
The Emergency Departments at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites are open 24 hours daily.
