Volunteer at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance

Volunteers are an essential part of the care experience at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA). By giving their time and compassion, volunteers make a lasting difference for staff, patients, and families. From escorting patients between departments to assisting in nursing units, outpatient programs, rehabilitation services, and pastoral care, volunteers help create a welcoming and supportive hospital environment.

Volunteers at CKHA are highly valued members of the circle of care. Their dedication is respected and appreciated, and their contributions strengthen the hospital community.

• Commit 3–4 hours per week for a minimum of 4 months (with the exception of the High School Student Summer Program)

• Complete an application form and an interview with CKHA’s Volunteer Resource Specialist

• Undergo a health review (provided by CKHA)

• Provide a police check

• Orientation and role-specific training
